things ansley jones has done…

I hate to admit it but I enjoy a reasonably hectic lifestyle. I simply adore a back to back schedule as I get impatient and hate waiting… A peek at my palm desktop usually gives me satisfaction and an overwhelming glee of achivement.. No, I’m not posting a pic of my palm desktop today, but the pic below are my projects so far…Stuff

The first pic is one of my new card holder… I was surfing around ebay and realized I’d like to own a card holder… And so with abit more surfing, I realized that there isn’t one I would buy or want to own. Well, there are a few appealing ones, but they are not appealing to my budget… So, I decided to make one, since I had everything on hand… I especially like the offset clip (which came with my palm’s pouch, hence the brand name on it) and the thumb slot. The only flaw I see in this one is that I didn’t have fabric glue so I used superglue which wasn’t at all good for the fabric: it became hard.. Oh well, not too bad for a 20 min project… =0)

The next two shots are taken of my injured right ring finger… Not the best of my photography skills but I’m too lazy to use my proper digicam and use it’s manual focus… Rather, I point and shot that pic with my Treo (Well, all these pics were taken by my Treo) It’s much better now but I was waken up by it on the first night cos of the blood accumulation the finger sent it throbbing and I had to remove the scotch tape holding it to release some pressure, which subsquently meant more blood spurted out… After cleaning up *that* mess, I decided it was alright to use a band aid and yes, I slept well after that…

Fourth pic is one of my meals I’ve made…I call it The Vegan Fish in Porridge… Well, it’s simply fish porridge (Besa Fillets) with sweet potato, french beans, eggs, carrots with fried shallots and sesame seed oil… Yup healthy stuff… My stable for the next few hectic days… I can’t afford to indulge in cooking so as usual, fish porridge in the pot, few days old…

Another thing which is not reflected in the photos is that I fixed my digital camera~ =0) Something was wrong with the battery… It often died without a reason, and there are many instances when it could not wake up till I decided to open it up and check it out… With that, I found the charging contact was out of whack so all I had to do is put in two rubber pieces to hold it in place and voila~ Fixed~ Of course, I had to reopen the casing 3 other times to fix the other problems which came about when I was fixing *that* one… =0)

The final pic is actually my studio assignment for this sem… We are redesigning a hedge trimmer and for those of us who don’t know what the #@$# is a hedge trimmer, it is a similar device to a chainsaw (Everyone knows what a chainsaw is thanks to Doom huh?) but instead of a chain blade, this one has long blades, similar to a barber’s hair snips… So here is my redesign… It’s not quite complete yet, but almost there for submission this Thursday… I still gotta bog (bog is a two part filler material, used to fill holes and scratches so when we paint it, it looks like real plastic though it’s made of wood) it… But it’s getting there… Everyone’s so busy these days…

Yup, anyway, an update… For all those who have been following my money chase saga… I’ve finally got it back~ What an irresponsible person Azleen is… She rattled over the phone on Saturday, that she will be in UC at lunchtime to meet her Malaysian friends and hung up before I could actually clarify stuff. Today, at noontime, she was nowhere to be seen, and no phone call came… She only called at 330pm and said she was in Woden and wanted me to go and collect my money from her. Of course I didn’t agree… Told her I am stuck in my Labs till late tonight and she tried further to persuade me to fetch her back to Fyishwick if she comes down to UC… Crap man~ No way… Well, she finally came to UC, arriving at approx 630pm, 6 1/2 hrs late, to her "lunch time" meeting… Gave me the money, offer to bring over some prata the next time she’s here and scooted off.. Guess what, remember I mentioned she blocked me on MSN… Suddenly, she on MSN once again~ Sigh, I have learnt so many lessons in this one session… I’d never NEVER want to go thru this again… In summary this is what happened..

  1. She said she needed the money to confirm her flight tix back to Malaysia and said she didn’t have her money cos she transfered all of em from CommonWealth Bank to St George. She promised to pay by the weekend. Losing my interest, I lent her AUD800…
  2. 2 weeks late, she said she will be coming down for a Malaysian night pizza dinner and hand me the cash in my room @ 6pm
  3. 6pm and she wasn’t here… Found out from Tina, they changed the meeting venue to another friend’s room without telling me.
  4. Nevermind, the time, I went to the pizza dinner @ 7+ hoping to see her there, but she wasn’t.
  5. Left and then had to come back to ask her for the money… Finally caught her, and she said she had to draw the money first. She said she will slip it under my door as I will be out.
  6. Came home to find no money at my door…
  7. Called her a couple of days later… But in vain, Left her messages at her two cellphones and even with her housemate… But in vain…
  8. In desperation, I had to ask a common friend to call her… She picks up the phone immediately… Our friend mentioned that I am looking for her and she juz remarked that her cell battery was flat.
  9. She later msged me and said she will forward me her dad’s email
  10. She didn’t forward me her dad’s email… Until a few days later… The email was not forwarded but copy and pasted… No insults but her dad’s English happens to be almost perfect and conveniently, he mentioned he will be leaving this office and don’t reply to that address. Also on that email, was details to the alleged bank transfer from StandChart Malaysia and he asked me to check the banks for the records which I can’t cos I am not that account holder… Besides, hey! Fuck, I did you a favor and I’ve gotta do this shit for you?!
  11. She blocked me on MSN
  12. Gotten really fustrated, I checked with my bank and realized, there is no way I can check if the money is out of his bank but only could wait till it arrives, if it does… Also, it should only take less than 72 hours for whole transaction but it has been 7 days…
  13. Fed up, I finally got hold of her and demanded an IOU… She obliged and told me to come over on Sunday afternoon…
  14. Sunday afternoon, she delayed the time by 3 hours as "she had to go for pysiotherapy" It was delayed till Monday…
  15. Monday, I finally got it signed… Deadline on the IOU is 25th May 2005
  16. Waited till 26th May but still nothing
  17. Finally found out "She was in Goulburn for a field trip over the weekend" and she "lost her bag" which had her 2 mobil phones on Friday after a common friend managed to reach her on MSN… She promised to call on Sat as "Not convenient to talk now"
  18. She calls on the dot on Sat, 28th May… Gabbled some trash, promised to be in UC by noon today and empty promises… And you know the rest which happened today…

I really burnt myself this time… Really, the saying "Don’t judge the book by it’s cover" came out and slapped me silly… Seemingly responsible, previous president of Malaysia club UC, current UMNO member, tudung wearing, hardworking, etc… person I knew turned to be the opposite…

So now one can understand why I can be racist sometimes… Now I’ve got two very good reasons to; 1) National Service. 2) Azleen Aziz

the day when mommy’s words rang in my ears…

Saturday, May 28th, 2005

" Don’t you use your finger to pry out the lid of the can", she says.

"Yes, yes mother…" I muttered under my breathe. " I’m careful enough alright.."

"I heard that okay! One day, you’ll think of this when you cut yourself" mother said to me as I remained unconvinced…

I cannot remember when did that conversation happened but it did.. And today, that prophesy has came to past… And yet, not the way I imaged it to be…

Always, I imaged the only possiblilty for me to cut my finger with the edge of the can is sliding my thumb, or index finger against it… So, with my analytical mind, I always remind myself, whenever performing *that* stunt, never, never slide my finger/thumb… Apply firm positive pressure, not too much that it cuts me in, but just enough to grasp it and pull it out, and that’s enough…Photo_052805_002 Photo_052805_003

Greatest irony of all is, I cut my right ring finger today… Firstly, being a lefty, I shouldn’t be using my right hand on the can.. Secondly, from my analysis, if it should happen, it should be on my index finger or my thumb… Thirdly, my ring finger, slided across the edge.. I knew better not to slide my finger on the forbidden edge… Fourthly, I reckon the cut should have been on the fleshy part of my finger but it ended up at the tip of the finger… juz before my fingernail~ What was I thinking…

So here I am now, typing with 7 fingers and 2 thumbs… It’s amazing how much much a finger tip could bleed… In fact, after that, I had to totally stop using my right hand, to use my thumb to apply pressure on the wound cos it refuse to stop bleeding… Thank God I just had to do the dishes and have my dinner with one had… If I had to continue to cut up the ingredients, my other fingers will be part of em…

Anyway, after the whole saga, my finger was still bleeding and I had to get some scotch tape to apply pressure on the wound, rather than relying on my thumb and have a bloody mess when I wake up the next day… I don’t think I could get the union to make my thumb to work while I sleep can I? =0)

Oh, for those of you concerned freakomaniacs… Yes, I do have bandaids but I can’t use it cos it has a fabric centre and it’s not as "supportive" and won’t hold onto the wound as the tape… And yes I too have antiseptic cream but judging from the blood flow… I don’t want to put it on as I *might* just get antiseptic poisoning… Yes, never never apply antiseptic directly on a open wound like that… And finally, yes, I’m an officially trained first aider by St John’s Ambulance Brigade… (showoff)

Anyway, Azleen finally called me today as she promised… She promised to meet me on Monday at lunchtime, in UC Refectory to return me the cash in full… I take lunch time to be 12pm… She said she will call me when she arrives… I said before that I sue her after her last chance… This is her last chance… I’m so sick of this…

Worked today, as usual… Was really freezing and we had strong winds today so that didn’t help… My hands were numb, my lips were chapped, the water was cold… Oh well… The guys pulled a parking ticket gag on me… Laugh on jokers… Yes, I’m naive enough to get a ticket on Saturday… Woohoo… =0) It was good work… Personally, I am getting a little bored of the job cos I don’t see much challenges ahead… I have learnt all I need to know and am performing pretty well… Oh well, it’s fantastic company and good pay… Besides Lawry promised me work everyday during my vacation and that’s good for the finance department…=0)

So before I end this post, I wanna thank my Mother for bringing me to life… I have always taken her for granted… The clothes in the washer, the clothes on the poles, the food in the pan, the food in on the table, the earwax outta my ears, the aloe vera cream on my bloody cane marks… I’m sorry for all the pain I have said, caused, inflicted, knowingly and unknowingly… The Bible tells us to honor our Father and Mother…. Today I honor the first lady in my life… My Mother.

some life added to a deadline…

Thursday, May 26th, 2005

Yes, it got extended again… Everything got pushed back a week… Well almost… The lecturers realized that we’ve just got too much to handle… And they got passionate and gave us the leeway… In fact, I have soooooooo much trouble in ProE, a 3D software we are using, that my lecturer had to help me do the basic from… The problem is, he is having trouble with it himself.. He had to start from scratch at least 2 times… =0) If he can’t do it… how can I?

Did my UCD presentation yesterday… Just 2 days before that, Kei and myself had to talk to Stephen, our lecturer, our assistant head of design school about our untypical aussie groupmate… Untypical cos in my course, they are VERY competitive.. Staying up late @ the labs till 3am is not uncommon… Anyway… we had to talk to Steve and we called Mark (yes, we now know his name) was, as expected, in the bar… Steve gave him a pep talk.. Next thing we know is, he disappears again… Oh well… At the end, I told him straight in his face that he as a bloke, is a great mate… But when it comes to work… He lazier that a lazy f#@!k… He stayed up till midnight that night… Sigh… We did our presentation, he acted as he participated in the whole thing and I didn’t hide being pissed at this whole thing… Oh well… My other classmates sent their condolences and sympathy.. Right now, our report is due (Steve gave us an extension) and Mark is nowhere in sight… Never again, Ansley Jones, never again~

Next… Remember I mentioned someone owed me AUD800? Yup, I managed to get her after a lot of snooping around… Initally when I tired calling her and even left her msgs in her two mobile line and home, she never answers nor replies… But when I got this common friend to call her… She replied immediately… Our common friend tried calling her and she picked up the phone immediately..  When that friend mentioned that I was looking for her and she said her phone was flat… How convenient… She then texted me saying she will forward me her dad’s email to me… She didn’t until much later… I also found out she tried to borrow money from more people, she blocked me on MSN, she possibly forged that email she much later sent me, etc… Oh well.. I’ve got the IOU from her… On that, I explicitly mention of the deadline for her to return me the money, which my bank has confirmed the absolute latest, I should get the money transfer, that was the 25th.. It’s gonna be the 27th now.. Enough is enough…

It enough bitching for now… And no, there is no picture in this post… I have been eating leftovers and haven’t got time to cut cheese much less cook… Sigh… =0(

Sunday, May 22nd, 2005

A lot of things have happened since my last blog entry… Let me try to recap and see where it leads us to…

Backpack from EBay

In my last post, I mentioned and uploaded pics of the bag I bought off eBay and the faults in it… I contacted the seller and after 2 emails and a couple of nasty threats, they turned out nice and offered me a 25% discount or a one to one exchange… I took the refund as that would mean I’d save about SGD20 on that… And yes, I patched up the hole and I do like the bag alot… Quite a nice design I must say… and it works well… I don’t really feel the load, even when the bag is packed full…

Nepalese Beanie from EbayPhoto_052105_001

And yes! It arrived… So cool… I like this one too… Far out!

Someone Owes Me AUD800

And yes, I was dumb enough to lend this someone so much money. It gave me such a good reason to, and judging (a very bad judgement from my side) from its good character (or so I thought), I kindly obliged. It turned out, end of the week meant almost 1 month… I finally got hold of it after much delays… I am gonna get an IOU signed tomorrow… I will call the coppers if I need to.. There goes your PR then~

User Centred Design Submission

I admit my English is not perfect. I admit I did not contribute much to the inital draft. Because of that, Kei (my classmate from Macau), and I decided to let Mark (some aussie shit), to "edit" our report. F%^%#^$%ing sh!thead didn’t even look through it before our first submission. Man, I am dyslexic but I could spot more than he can… I was sooooo pissed that I threatened to kick him outta the group and scolded him big time… Well… since he wants to be treated as a little boy, I told him exactly what to do. That pot breathing MF still could get it wrong… Alignments all wrong and shit… What half F$%$%%$ designer is he? I’m sorry to be swearing so much but it’s just so fustrating…

Marriage Plans

Lenca and myself are deciding if we’ll get too stressed up living with my folks… There seems to be few other options as it is most feasible to do so. Also, I was asking YowSiang the possible price packages for his services as a wedding photographer… He was sooooo nice to offer to do it for us for free.. as our wedding gift~ Wow! Thank you so so much YowSiang… We’ll keep you informed… We still got lotsa planning to do… =0) Now, anyone has a BIG garden we could borrow to hold our ceremony? =0)

Expenditure

Yes, it’s friggin high this month… Bought a whole lot of stuff from Ebay, repaired Yagger, gas, groceries, school, etc… I gotta keep it down.. I will keep it down…

Food

Photo_052005_005Yes, I managed to lay hands on some prata… I made some tumeric beef curry and here are the pics… Nice nice… The prata so reminds me of home… =0)

you can do it!

Wednesday, May 18th, 2005

This day started as normal.. I woke up at about 8… Changed into my workshop clothes, brushed my teeth along the corridor, on my way to the toilet… Packed my bag… Wore my shoes… Anxiously, I went to my mailbox… I was expecting mail… I was expecting my stuff from ebay to arrive… Checked and YES! I’ve got TWO packages… I was wondering which ones they were… The treo case? Which one of the two? The bag??? That’s nice… =0)

Drove to school today… Yes, it’s just 2 mins but I gotta go to the bank later @ the Mall… =0) Collected my packages first… To my pleasant surprise… It was the bag alright, but the other one is from no one else but my love~!

Within is a couple of magazine article clippings, as she always send me… She always reads em first and put in her little comments along it.. It’s almost as we are having our own little conversation.. I simply adore that… The other is a moltivational poster… Here it is…

You Can Do It!

If you think you are beaten, you are.

If you think you dare not, you’re right.

If you like to win, but you think you can’t, it is almost certain you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost.

For out of the world we find, Success begins with a person’s will.

It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are.

You’ve got to think high to rise.

You’ve got to be sure of yourself before you can ever win a prize.

Life’s battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster man,

but sooner or later the man who wins is the man who wins is the man who thinks he can!

Author Unknown

Wow! What inspiration dear… =0) Thank you for having such faith in me… Yes, I agree, we bring out the greatest best and worst in each other yet in the end of it all, make up because we love each other too much… And to add to add… Too much is too little of a word to use on us… =0)

Anyway, I checked the bag and found a couple of flaws on it… So I had taken some pics (As usual) Bungee_1 Frame_1 and mailed the seller… Hope he isn’t an a$$hole… =0)

Went to the workshop to make my model… Decided not to use wood so I left for the bank instead… Got my marriage fund setup… Gotta save money… 10k is a long while away right now… =0) Came home, watched the Simpsons (Bart’s fell in love with such a pretty cool babe like me!), Jamie Oliver Live! and Medium…

Was talking to Juleana, Pink’s gf over msn just now while trying to be a woman (aka multi-task: watching TV, doing ProE and carrying the conversation). Yeah was talking about relationships and of course dearies was mentioned… And yes, to her nick at msn, I reckon Pink is the tree and she is the koala… =0)

Alrighty… should be going to do my ProE now… =0) Fendou~

I cannot procrasinate anymore…

Tuesday, May 17th, 2005

I admit, I have been procrasinating my ProE and UCD. There’s a million things to be done for those but there are still another million things to be done outside. Therefore, in attempt to stop procrasinating and to get down to work, I am now publically announcing it to all… Please, all of you folks who are invading my private life, reading my blob blog right now, give me so encouragement, pray for me, badger me, etc… You got the drift?

A little more background of my deliverables… Am supposed to submit my ProE yesterday… Went in class, no one completed it yet… ProE, otherwise known as ProEngineer, as the name suggests should be for engineers only… I admit, it is less problematic compared to Rhino, the other surface modeling software we use, but I find it hard to understand the terms used. Now if only they have a glossary on the terms and the varied options and effects… Like, what I understand when the software tells me something like "Curve cannot be formed. Lines must be normal". Freak… Yes yes, the only thing abnormal is the term normal… What the #$%$^$% is NORMAL? You mean I created a MUTANT line by mistake… Dang that M key… Anyway, submission got extended for another 2 weeks…

My other submission is UCD… User Centred Design. In this subject, we (yes in groups of 3 now) are supposed to find a product, find people to test it, redesign it and test the redesign to see if it is successful. The end product is not important for this one… but the journey is. Problem is along in this journey with me are my other two classmates… Kei is alright… He does his work pretty consistantly… MARK is our common problem… He is constantly stoned out and MIA… The term "stoned out" used here is in context of the Aussie culture, not Singapore… In Singapore, being stoned means, you’re tired… In Aussieland, being stoned mean you’ve juz had one joint too many… Joint, cannabis, marijuana, hemp, pot, mary jane, grass, weed, whatever~ Because of him, we are overloaded and he is about to be voted out…

Enough of school… Worked today… It was a SLOW day… It was cloudy day and people don’t wash their cars on cloudy days… That was good… Standing there talking to the boss while being paid… =0) As usual, I bought my lunch from Acacia Cafe nearby work… Got turkey roll and chips today… Lady was real nice to give me extras today… Good food for AUD5… Believe me Singaporeans.. that’s considered CHEAP. Believe me Aussies, that’s expensive in Singapore’s context… I worked till 2pm and I was "sent" home… Business was not viable for me to stay on, so Lawry had me going… No worries… I went to collect Yagger…

I left Yagger Photo_032505_001_1at Dynotune as he was having some problems with his computer onboard… Since the 2nd day I’ve bought him, the ECM (Electronic Computer Monitor) has been flickering on and off randomly… I finally decided to send him in to Dynotune as they are the only ones who do those here… I was getting nervous during work as the fella didn’t call me to give me a price quote as promised… At the end, when I was there, Yagger was fixed~ It turned out that his Coolant Sensor was faulty… Altogether that costed me AUD133.50… The labor cost me a whopping AUD115.50 at AUD70 per hour… WOW~ But considering this is Australia and the guy quoted me AUD99 for the check itself… It’s not that bad afterall… Besides, he drives like a dream now… The mechanic also did a general check on Yagger + a road worthy check and he went, in his aussie accent " A mighty fine car you’ve got there mate. You won’t see many cars like yours at that age." Yes, Yagger’s old… He’s 17 yrs old…

Went home and did some work… My ski trip turned out to AUD577 for 3 days… Here’s what’s included: Coach ride to and fro, accomodation at the lodges, bed spreads, 2 Photo_051705_001_1breakies, ski equipement, ski lift, ski lessons, internal shuttle bus. Expensive but it’s the  experience.. My first time at the snowies… Went for CSC Meeting a little late and got locked out of Elmo’s office… Tried calling Anthony but I hit his answering machine.. Sigh.. I wasn’t too disturbed as I enjoyed my drive… Yagger’s doing really fine… Came home, wasn’t too hungry so I made chips and gravy… Yummy…

Yup, gonna do ProE after this… wish me luck people~

a little moment before and after church…

Sunday, May 15th, 2005

Yes as the title says so, but I am just killing some time before Taylor comes by, banging my window, for us to go Church. Yes, I’ve managed to convince him to Church… =0)

Have been bidding at ebay quite abit recently… I bought a new backpack, GBP25 in total, 2 titanium eyebrow curves and 3 luclite tranparent retainer curves for USD20, a treo side case USD6.99, codi case, USD19, USB 3 1/2" harddrive case, USD10 and a USB controller for USD14. That’s quite an amount spent… I guess in Canberra, it’s often cheaper to buy things online and get em shipped to you rather than the shops here…. I shipped in my UCD text from Amazon for only AUD50 while our Coop Bookstore sells it at AUD77…

Was at a formal dinner last night… Was at the Hollywood, Bollywood and Beyond Dinner held by ISSANU… International Students’ Service of Australian National University. Elizabeth dragged and blackmailed me eh. Initally costing me AUD35 but Liz had it lowered to AUD32 for me. I *tried* to put up posters for publicity in UC but in vain… I tried to pull people like Chee Boon, etc.. but also in vain… I was at the table with a couple of guys, Aaron, Sam, etc… Churchy people so I did have quite abit of fun, we were all mocking the male host… what’s left of him being male cosDscf0006  he is so blatantly pink and a major media whore. Our table was the rowdiest of em all and they chose to set a video camera beside us… With a champange and a Hahns in me, I contributed to lacing the tape with insults and puns to the male host for the future to appreciate… At our table we pooled our resources and being real Chinese, we bought 400 raffle tickets for AUD120… That’s AUD20 and 66 tickets a person. I was the first person to win something… I won 2 AUD10 Pancake Parlor’s voucher… And the winning streaked when around till it arrived at our table again and 3 of the other people at our table each won a AUD100 voucher from Student Flight Discounts. Great eh…

When to Jamison Markets today… Bought an adjustable wrench for AUD5 after haggling a buck Photo_051505_007off… nearly got a Russian like fur beanie for AUD45 but I didn’t indulge… Taylor bought cable ties and socks till he was broke… and Joel just standed around and laughed at our jokes… After dropping Joel @ Woden, Taylor and myself when off to Fyishwick to get tent poles… The guys serving us was real keen too… He allowed us to try fit the poles in shop, and also gave us spares for free! Wow! Don’t think you’ll see that happening in Singapore~

i will remember to use gray fonts…

Thursday, May 12th, 2005

I have been trying to remind myself to use the gray ever so often but always forget to change it.. Yes, it’s a purely aesthetic thing but hey! Gray looks good doesn’t it?

Hmmm… Yesterday was Dearies’ birthday… As expected, I got her Precious Moment’s figurine… I had the first one sent back by Anthony, the president of Canberra Singapore Club, who was on the way back home… I can’t remember which one I chose actually…. Dear, if you are reading this, pls, in the comments section, list the figurines you have so I won’t get the wrong one one you already have. Yup… And later, I shipped home another one which is one of a little girl riding a bicycle… I got that one cos we went riding whilst she was stil in Canberra… and she sprained Montage4lencaher ankle when she did a turn too tight. Guess who ended up with the piggybacking? Guess who was the belovant gentleman who gave the lady a lift? =0) Also included in the package is a little montage I did , a CD filled with pictures of the current happenings in Canberra and a little music karaoke I did for her… Hmmm… maybe I should post the card up and the video is off limits to you who are asking… It’s a dorky side of me reserved for the ONE… =0)

Oh, I am so proud of me… I had 2 writeups due this Friday and the next one. I submitted it last night. It was a HUGE heave of relief! Now I know how Chee Boon feels all the time… He is one person I know who the total opposite of a procrasinator… He finishes his assignments 1 month before submission. WOW!

About the caregiver job, I called David up and told him my intention of quitting… He was so gentle about it, and he let me go with well wishes. I thank God for David. I also promised him I will finish up my allocated shifts before I officially quit. It’s only right.

And so, I did another bushwalk again today… This time, to my surprise, I’ve got A once again! The day started with my car refusing to start cos of a dead battery… For those who don’t know, my car has it’s light switch shorted so when I off my engine, the lights constantly stays on, I’ve got to flick it on signal to deactivate it, it’s sort of a safety thing for the roads… I find it a pain.

Anyway, I called A’s mom to inform her I will be late but thank God, I arrived just on time! A really seemed happy today. She has tea in her bag and her favorite CDs tucked in too… We had a pretty gPhoto_050905_003ood on the way to Redhill (Yes Redhill AGAIN) but when we stopped, she REFUSED to get out of the car and "want to go home"… I tried everything from reasoning with her, pretending to call her mom, being fierce and I realized I had to approach it step by step… She suddenly mentioned she wanted to sit down at the cafe nearby. I took that chance and said only for a while. She popped out of the car pronto! =0) Unfortunately she went in immediately and ordered tea. Thank God the owner, who was an elderly gentleman, was so understanding and gracious to allow us sit outside. He later came out to offer us some hot water for A to make her tea and every indulged her with a nice bisky (aka biscuit). In fact, he took some time to sit down with us and shared and talked. After this little session, I managed to convince A to take a little walk down Redhill and did some bushwalking… This was a tiring session, but a fulfilling one. I later dropped A at the Finnish Embassy as her mom works there and had a little conversation. Apparently, M, A’s mom, has her own caregiving business and she was impressed by the way I handled A… (I don’t know why M didn’t actually get one of her staff to caregive her daughter but I reckon as what they all say, it’s hard to take care of one of your own) Went asked about the company I’m working for and being told I’ve just quit due to various reasons, M then proceeded to give me her namecard and offered me an interview. She made mention a couple of VERY attractive terms… I’ve email her later this afternoon… I keep posted I guess…

Yes, I should be doing my ProE now but am still procrasinating… It’s due this coming Monday and I’m still at the curves of the body of my hedgetrimmer… much less the surface of the entire model… And so I’d be gone~ *poof*

the reason for them calling deadline, deadline…

And yes, I have been procrasinating alot… Well.. Not a lot but pretty much… =0) I’m just tired. After a long hard day’s work, I’d love to come home and relax on the bed (I’ve got no couch in my room) and watch telly..

But I can’t. I’ve got submissions coming, I’ve got my Brisbane trip coming, I’ve got my snow trip coming… Now is not a time I let all go and fall… There is a time for everything, a little more effort, a little more endurance and I will be able to enjoy my fruits later.

Anyway, an update of what has happened… I was caregiving yesterday. I was supposed to be doing a swimming session but I wasn’t told that it was replaced to another bushwalk. With that, I went to office too early and arrived at Long Gully abit late for my session. To my surprise, for my first time, I was to caregive alone… And I was to bring J out again! I brought him to the Redhill lookout and we did the same route as Tom and myself took W on my first session. J is indeed a fast walker… He did everything in 1 hour, compared to W, who took 1 3/4 hours. The only problem with that is that I had to think of more ways to utilize the excess time. In the end, we walked around and had tea at the Lookout Cafe.

Another thing I noted while taking J out yesterday is his features. In the midst of our walk, we took a couple of rests and during one of em, I turned over and looked at him straight as I’ve never did before. I suddenly noticed how handsome he looks. He has such pretty blue eyes and nice tall nose… In fact, I realized that when he was quietly sitting there, he almost seem as a normal adult. I don’t know much of his history except for little clues here and there… I’ve seen a couple of wedding pics by his bed when I picked him up… The guy in the pic really looks like him but it could be his dad… Also, I noted he has a couple of fused fingers.. Something which makes me realize that he was borned into this state. Initially I was afraid I might not be able accept him, but God showed me how pretty are all His creations. He has a purpose of allowing things to happen. It’s just that we don’t know why. It’s sad that I’ve got to leave this job.

And yes, I worked today too.. At Mobil… Things are getting mundane there… Having learnt almost everything I need to know, it’s no doubt I’d start getting bored… Everything becomes clockwork. The good thing is that now I can afford to dream of my school work while working. =0) Yup, and yes, I washed Yagger today~

For_my_weddingAnd yes, here is a picture for this post. With compliments of Taylor… Whaddya think? I kinda like it… Hey Taylor boy, can you buy this for me as a wedding gift? I believe Lenca would love it too… =0)
